萌妹社区鈥檚 2014 Commencement Ceremony

Posted on Friday, May 16, 2014

萌妹社区 held its 2014 Commencement Ceremony on May 10 at Overlake Christian Church in Redmond, Washington.

The event was a celebration of the 2014 graduates as well as the university’s 10,000th graduate.

Reverend Samuel Rodriguez, president of the National Hispanic Leadership Conference and senior pastor of New Christian Worship Center in Sacramento, California, was this year’s commencement speaker. It was a pleasure to have Rev. Rodriguez at commencement, inspiring this new class of NU graduates to “be light and change the world!”

To the graduating class of 2014: we are extremely proud of you and your many accomplishments here at 萌妹社区. We cannot wait to see where the Lord leads you next. Congratulations—you did it!

萌妹社区 Graduates Its 10,000th Student

Graduating senior Samantha Gee was surprised with music, streamers, and cheers as she walked across the stage as 萌妹社区’s 10,000th graduate.

Gee’s status as NU’s 10,000th graduate was kept under wraps until she stepped on stage during commencement on May 10. NU is proud to have graduated its 10,000th student and looks forward to graduating many more.

Graduation by the Numbers

  • 445 students accepted diplomas, with 318 earning undergraduate degrees and 127 earning graduate degrees.
  • 39% of students earning bachelor’s degrees graduated with academic honors.
  • Three of the 127 graduate students earned doctoral-level degrees.
  • 14 countries outside the U.S. were represented by NU’s graduating students: Brazil, Canada, Chile, Croatia, England, the Fiji Islands, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kenya, Liberia, South Korea, and Vietnam.
