From the President of the Alumni Board

By Ryan Kidwell | Posted on Monday, December 06, 2021

Dear 萌妹社区 Alumni,

My name is Ryan Kidwell ('04), and I owe much to NU. Some of the people I met during my time as a student have become lifelong friends, others helped me land my first job, and some ended up becoming business partners. Many of those relationships lasted long after I moved out of the dorms (shout-out to all my 500 floor Ducks!) and graduated. The longevity and value of a good relationship is one of the reasons I believe the Alumni Association is so important and why I'm honored to serve as the President of the Alumni Association Board of Directors.

The Alumni Association exists to improve the lives of NU alumni and to create opportunities for alumni to feel valued by the NU community. It's amazing to see so many alums contributing to the world in so many incredible ways. One of the Alumni Association's goals is to foster connections between alumni. Alums are helping other alums with all kinds of things: preparing to enter the workforce or make a career change, getting help improving physical and mental health, providing financial advice, building a stronger relationship with Christ, the list is endless! If you are interested in connecting with other NU alumni, have questions about the Alumni Association, or have a need and would like help, I'd love to hear from you.

We are constantly working on new ways to give back to our alumni and as part of that process we currently have an open position for the Director of Alumni and Parent Relations at NU. If you or someone you know might be a good fit for this, or other open positions, please follow this link for more information.

Sincerely,

Ryan Kidwell
Alumni Board President
