COM Office Assistant


Position Details

Department College of Ministry
Reports To Program and Administrative Coordinator
Time Commitment Monday - Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm, approx. 15 hours/week. Starting Fall 2026

Position Summary

Responsible to the College of Ministry Program and Administrative Coordinator to assist in providing office support, document preparation, and file processing for all COM activities.

Essential Functions

  • Updates students in regard to internships and scholarship opportunities
  • Assists with the organization of class trips
  • Assists with student services, projects, packets, orientation
  • Assists with filing
  • Maintain College of Ministry website and COM Eagle page
  • Informs students of upcoming events and deadlines
  • Completes other work-related office duties as needed and assigned by the Office Coordinator

Education/Experience/Skills

  • Experience and/or desire to work in an office setting
  • Able to take direction and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Dependable and reliable and a team player
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and Word-Press
  • Ability to be organized, punctual and professional
  • Capable of and commitment to maintaining confidentiality
  • Effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Working Environment

  • Work is generally performed indoors in a typical office setting.
  • Position works with strictly confidential information.
  • Frequently required to be in front of a computer screen for long periods of time.

Physical Demands

The functions are usually performed while standing, but may involve some amount of time sitting, stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, lifting (max. of 40 lbs.), walking, carrying, reaching, stretching, climbing, perform repetitive motions of the hands or wrists and other movements. The abilities of seeing, hearing and speaking are also required.
