Position Summary
The College of Arts, Sciences, and Technology at 萌妹社区 invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track chemistry faculty position to begin in August 2026 that includes both instructional and administrative responsibilities. The faculty member will contribute to the College’s mission by teaching undergraduate-level science courses, supporting program operations, and participating in academic planning and assessment activities. Faculty members are also expected to fully participate in university life including committee work and other institutional activities.
Responsibilities include teaching, advising undergraduate students, collaborating with faculty/ staff, and assisting with administrative functions that ensure the quality and effectiveness of our interdisciplinary concurrent credit educational programs. This position comprises .75 FTE teaching and .25 FTE, working with our area partner schools offering college-in-the-high-school credit.
Candidates must possess a meaningful commitment to Jesus Christ, the Church, and the gospel. We are seeking someone with teaching experience in chemistry and a winsome, encouraging, and engaging faith.
Essential Functions
- Teach Chemistry lectures and laboratory sections, such as organic, general, and survey.
- Collaborate with lab supervisor on preparing safe experiments for laboratory sections.
- Advise undergraduate students in academic assignments and degree progress.
- Coordinate with Science faculty to develop and revise curriculum.
- Perform university-related service duties.
- Participate in the governance functions of the university as assigned.
- Engage in scholarship alongside his/her teaching, related to his/her field of study.
- Integrate faith and learning in the classroom, guiding students to think critically and ethically about how their scientific studies reflect the God Who created the cosmos.
- Conduct site visits, instructor evaluations in Math and Science areas, and assessments with concurrent partner schools, maintaining accurate program records and collaborating with appropriate NU colleges and departments.
- Maintains positive relationships with students, faculty, university staff, and the general constituency of the University.
Qualifications
The successful candidate:
- Holds a master’s or doctorate degree in chemistry, or a closely related field, from an accredited college or university (Ph.D. preferred).
- Has a demonstrated record of successful teaching (1–2 years), preferably at the college level, in organic and general chemistry courses.
- Possesses a deep, personal commitment to Jesus Christ and to the Spirit-filled life.
- Demonstrates a commitment to the integration of faith and learning.
Compensation
Dependent on education and experience and based upon the established faculty salary schedule, starting at the respective professor rank ($54,508–$68,134).

The Buntain College of Nursing鈥檚 baccalaureate degree is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. In addition, the College of Nursing has received approval from the Washington State Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission. The University is also approved by the Board of Education and Superintendent of Public Instruction of the State of Washington to prepare elementary and secondary education teachers and recommend for certification.
